- Removes a Variety of Sealers & Coatings
- Spot Cleaner for Removing Paint Spots
- Fast Acting – Works in Minutes
- Ready to Use Formula
Suitable Surfaces
Ideal for concrete and clay pavers, concrete flatwork, and retaining walls. Can also be used on manufactured and natural stone, concrete block, wet cast products. Works on both horizontal and vertical applications. Not for use on asphalt.
SureStrip is compatible with all Surebond Sealers. A test area is always recommended to determine product suitability and compatibility with your specific surface before use and also if desired results are achievable.
Surface & Air Temperatures
Excessively high or low temperatures will produce poor results. Best cleaning results are obtained when air and surface temperatures are 40° F or above. Do not clean when temperatures are below freezing or will be overnight. If freezing conditions exist, allow adequate time for the surface to thaw. If air temperatures exceed 90° F, flash cool the surface with water before applying the product.
Preparation
Sweep and remove all loose soil and debris from the surface. Protect adjacent and surrounding surfaces not intended from the stripper, old sealer, and rinse water. Cover foliage with polyethylene or other proven protective material. Prior to stripping, test stripper on a small, inconspicuous area to determine the suitability of this product for a specific sealer and surface. Testing should confirm the effectiveness of stripper and desired surface dwell time on each type of surface and sealer designated to be removed. Allow test areas to dry thoroughly before evaluating the final appearance and results. May need to manage rinse water containing old sealer and stripper by reclamation to prevent run-off into the storm sewer. Small scale projects can be damned and residue removed with a shop vac. Large projects or volume of residue can be removed with a reclamation unit.
Dilution
SureStrip is a concentrated sealer stripper that is ready for use. No dilution is necessary.
Application
Apply SureStrip using a low-pressure sprayer such as a garden sprayer or it can be brushed, wiped, or rolled onto the surface. Depending on the sealer or coating, more than one application may be needed. If the surface is sloped, apply SureStrip from the bottom of the slope working up using a side-to-side motion. Allow SureStrip to dwell for at least five to ten minutes before doing a scratch test. Scratch at the sealer or coating with a sharp object to see if the substrate is visible. If the substrate is visible where tested then it is ready to be rinsed. Improve results by scrubbing the surface with a brush to agitate and loosen sealer. If the substrate is not visible or if the coating is gummy but not released, re-apply and let dwell for an additional ten minutes before re-testing. Rinse the surface thoroughly with a cold water pressure washer with a wide tip no less than 25 to 40 degrees or a garden hose with a nozzle. Only use as much pressure as needed to thoroughly clean as excessive-high pressures can damage substrates. It may be necessary to do a secondary cleaning to remove old, heavier sealers. Do not allow SureStrip to dry on the surface during dwell time. Always rinse-off thoroughly wet. It may be necessary to lightly re-apply SureStrip to keep the surface wet with the product.

Will this remove water based AND oil based sealants?
It removes both water-based and solvent-based acrylic coatings. Acrylic coatings do not come in “oil” based.
Does this come in 5 gallons? I need to do approximately 850 square feet for my whole driveway.
It does not.
Darn.
I purchased the surestrip 1 gallon for 52 square feet. Is this enough? Recently used a behr wet look sealer and it looks terrible. Hazing all over the pace. Will this be difficult this remove?
The gallon should be enough to remove this. Make sure to pressure wash it off.
Thanks, will do.
What sealer would you recommend for paving stones that may have moisture under them not showing on the top but definitely moisture underneath where the screening stone is?

Awesome looks great. Thanks for the help.
Ok I need serious help! The contractor who stripped and resealed the floors did it too quickly and my floor has a serious help finding the right stripper that I don’t kill myself …please help if you can
Sorry, but our products are for exterior use. We do not know or have anything for interior.
Hi, will this product remove this? The product used on these bricks/stone was Interior/Exterior Brick Sealer, Clear, Satin, Acrylic Sealer by MasonryDefender. It didn’t have enough time to dry before an expected storm. Thanks.
It will remove it.
I have 10 year old stamped concrete that needs stripped. Too many applications and it is built up and looks awful. We have used Solvent based, Butterfield Pro 350 sealer. Will this stripper be effective in stripping the old sealer? If not, suggestions?
Please post some pics of the patio in the comments.
Here are some different pics to give you an idea about what I have going on. Thanks for the assistance.
The worst part is where the sun is on it all the time. It appears to be burned off, but when I test with sealer it never changes. That seems to me to be a buildup of product. Thanks again.
Yes, this will remove it. You will need to pressure wash after applying.
Thank you! I will get some ordered when the weather gets warmer.
My builder’s concrete guy was sloppy. I do not know for sure what sealer he used on my driveway and patio, but he did not mask anything when he sprayed. There is overspray on my garage doors, gutters, and foundation. The garage doors and downspouts are white metal and the sealer has yellowed. Can this safely remove the overspray or will it also strip the paint from the metal surfaces?
It will remove all that it touches.
Does SureStrip remove acrylic sealers from stamped concrete (we have an uneven surface). How does it compare to Clemons product?
They both remove acrylic based sealers and work very well.
Hello, these are firerock concrete pavers and the only thing we can think of that caused these stains is improper sealer. Do you think this product would help?
Hard to say. What sealer was used before and the type?
Surebond. It is by a pool, not sure if the pool water could cause stains?
Which Surebond? They are not all the same. It could be chlorine from the water causing this.
SEK SB-5000
The stripper will not work with the SB-5000 and the SB-5000 also would not discolor like this. Has to be something else that is the cause.
Can I also use this product on Brick pavers with stained concrete on both sides? When rinsing the product, will it harm the stained concrete?
Yes, it will remove any sealer that is on the stained concrete. You would have to strip all and then reseal all.
Can you use this product on a pool coping?
Yes, but you cannot get the stripper and the sealer that is being removed into the pool water.
With the current logistics issues, do you ship to Tampa, fl? If so how long will it take to get here approx?
Yes, we ship to FL. Takes about 3-4 business days on average.
It will not work on paint. It is designed to remove acrylic-based sealers that have failed.
Would this stripper work with third party water based sealer removal from pavers? Attached is a picture for reference. Thanks!
Yes.
Thanks. A follow-up question: attached is the sealer that the contractor had used (it’s water based acrylic). Do you happen to know if this is a reputable brand and the issue was likely due to some human errors during application?
Sorry but never heard of this brand so not sure who is at fault.
The SureStrip appears to be working – see photo. There still is residual sealer – hazy white appearance. Can I reapply the Surestrip while the pavers are wet or do I need to wait at least 1 day for them to dry? Thanks!
Wet or dry is fine to spot clean those areas. Make sure you are using a good pressure washer.
Would this stripper work on removal of third party water based sealers? Thanks
can I use the sure strip on natural flagstone and right after use the SureClean to clean it, or should I wait for the flagstone to dry before cleaning it with SureClean.
You can use it right away.
Hello:I have use the SureStrip product and had worker well on my concrete pavers. I would like to know, if you sale a trial size of the SureStrip. Thanks
We do not.
I have EP Henry (harvest gold) pavers that were sealed improperly by previous owner. Heavy build up white-ish film covering a large area and it was sealed almost 8 years ago. Will this work to remove and restore original look? Or is there another product you would recommend?
Post pictures.
Works great to remove sealer that has turned white.
